This story is not mine and it’s not intend to offense anyone or to go against the law. The “Victim” didn’t want nobody to intervene anymore about this case. But seeing her financial situation right now, I won’t tell her but I can’t stay still doing nothing.
I won’t say too much to respect her private life, but her Family needs her help, and she needs mine. I want the truth to come out and a compensation for the suffering bad people put her through. She’s someone who count for me, she’s like Family.
Meet Sophie:
My best friend who went to the USA in 2022 to study and play golf there. She told me everything, every details from beginning to the end.
As of today she left after her graduation and now live back in her origin country, so she won’t be exposed to the opponent’s retribution if now I talk.
Here is the Story:
The 2 first year as foreign student went perfectly, until the incident that cause all this mess happened.
We are in the beginning of the 2025 year, Sophie and her colleague decided to purchase new golf clubs with personal fitting. They ask family and friends a good address and finally they find and agree to try Jeffmont.
Jeffmont had good reviews, it’s a family business opened many years ago, some great golfers talked about them, even people from our University know them positively.
The perfect choice for quality equipment before the National Universities tournament begins (one of the most important time of the year as a student practicing golf).
So everyone made their purchase. Everyone were happy, satisfied of the quality of their products. And there comes the tournament. Catastrophe: Sophie fail over and over to play at her usual level, she finishes last one in her team, losing at the qualifications with really bad results.
In the precedent tournament which took place in 2024, she and her team won the Regional. Do you understand ? At that time she was number 1 in personal stats compared to her teammates !!
That’s why she started to feel that something was wrong.
She had 2 week to adapt to her new clubs: far from enough to play comfortably.
So how is it that, for the last 10 competitions, her stats drop so catastrophically low ?
Here when I employ the word “Catastrophe”, I go easy.
That 2025 year, she lost almost everything. Her tournament, her money, her trust in herself.. luckily she still managed to graduate ! We stayed by her side all the way, it was tough but she made it.
When she came back to Belgium after graduation, she kept playing in local golf competitions and met several golf coaches. And that’s when she finally discovered the truth.
After inspections by professionals coaches, it happened that the clubs she bought from Jeffmont had bad custom fitting, little imperfections but enough to destabilize your usual play at high intensity.
A very easy problem that should not have been there in the first place.
Even more if it was done by a great and renowned professional as Jay L. Turner (CEO of Jeffmont).
On their website, they claim that they offer a “Lifetime warranty” if readjustments on the clubs are needed. She tried to find a solution with them, being honest and explaining them everything that happened, but they denied their fault..…
She started asking guidance and help from family, friends, colleagues, coaches, university staffs, golfers.. at the end, she couldn’t do nothing against people/entity with background and money, of course.
It’s been more than a year now since the incident. She gave up trying to get her money back a long time ago, donated her clubs for free (it’s extremely difficult to sell custom product that fit one person specifically) and left this incident behind her.
I am resolute to do all I can do to repair the injustice.
And I’m saying it again: I’m not ransoming this Jay L. Turner or doing anything illegal !
It’s my right to speak, as he’s free to refuse to give compensation for the bad he did.
I will just keep telling the truth, all around the country, trying to get help and making sure it doesn’t happen again to people similar to Sophie.
